New York Times columnist and TV commentator David Brooks, left, and theologian Miroslav Volf, founder and director of the Yale Center for Faith and Action, interviewed each other about “Character, Flourishing, and the Good Life.” Each has a new book on the subject. Brooks’s is The Road to Character (2015) and Volf’s is Flourishing: Why We Need Religion in a Globalized World (2016).

The event was sponsored by Yale’s Life Worth Living Program. Thanks to its director Matt Croasmun and Yale Divinity School spokesman Tom Krattenmaker. Both appeared on “Reasonably Catholic: Keeping the Faith” in October, discussing a $4.2 million grant to Yale from the Templeton Foundation to study joy and the good life.
